FHSD Senior PALS
The Francis Howell School District recently launched a new initiative, Senior PALS (Patrons Assisting and Lending Support), to better engage members of our community ages 60 and older. Senior PALS are invited to spend time in our schools for a delicious meal, performances by FHSD students, guest speakers, and more.
The next Senior PALS event will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 4:30 PM, at Francis Howell High School (FHHS), located at 7001 Highway 94 South in St. Charles. Come meet our new superintendent, Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris, and share your comments, questions, and concerns about the District. The event, open to any FHSD resident ages 60 and older, will include a delicious dinner, group discussion, a performance by FHHS students, and an optional tour.
The cost to attend the dinner is $5.00 (to cover the cost of the meal), and advance reservations are required. To RSVP, please call 636-851-4013 by March 25.
Francis Howell Board of Education Candidate Forum
On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, the Francis Howell Central (FHC) High School student journalism program, FHC Publications, will be hosting a Board of Education Candidate Forum. The event will be held from 7:00 - 8:30 PM in the Francis Howell Central Auditorium, located at 5199 Highway N in Cottleville.
The Forum will consist of a two-minute opening statement from each candidate, followed by five questions predetermined by FHC Publications. Candidates will have two minutes each to answer questions. At the end of the question-and-answer session, there will be a 30-minute session for the audience to ask candidates questions. This event is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the candidates running for the two vacant positions on the Francis Howell Board of Education for the April 5, 2016 election.
The candidates for the school board (in ballot order) are: Michelle Walker, Kimberlyann Granger, Cynthia Bice (incumbent), and Michael Hoehn.
